Mikey was a very successful Student/Athlete at Pen Argyl High School, where he participated in Football and Wrestling. He was a major part of 2 District Football Championships, although wrestling is where he naturally excelled. Mikey won 4 District XI titles, 3 Regional Titles and was a 3X PIAA State Champion, finishing his career with a 186-8 record. His talents on the wrestling mat garnished him a Scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh. In college he became a 2x ACC finalist and was a 2015 ACC Champion along with being a 2x NCAA National Qualifier.

 

Throughout all of his athletic success he always made the time to support children with special needs. He had a natural ability to connect with these children which continued throughout his life. Watching him support and interact with these children is how this Foundation was started. The Mikey L. Racciato Foundation will help individuals and organizations that provide services to children with special needs and life skills education in the Slate Belt and Greater Lehigh Valley.
